So? I've done that before. I floss my teeth daily, sometimes twice. It's not like the food is spoiled. It's already in her mouth. At least she's not eating food off of "someone else's" floss.

Although I can tolerate this, I agree that it's not a very sanitary idea. Sure, it's her mouth, but she's flossing it out in the first place because that, and anything else between her teeth, is covered with bacteria and needs to go. I don't see the benefits of eating it, not like it'll fill her hunger any more..

I don't think you quite understand the point of flossing... The point of flossing is to get bacteria-growing food away from your teeth before it starts snacking on them instead of the food. Eating it, while someone disturbing if witnessed, is in no way unsanitary.

I agree with 114. Your teeth's enamel is really soft and prone to bacteria eating through (so soft that it only takes 12 hours to create a cavity) but the rest of your body is strong enough to withstand that same bacteria. It's completely safe.
