Well this is new... Although I do eat what I remove from my teeth with a toothpick, but it has to be immediately after I eat, otherwise it's just... mushy and bleugh. But after reading all of these comments, you guys are right, it's really not a big deal. I wouldn't do it though, but live and let live!
