I'm kinda on the thoughts that nudity isn't that big of deal with family, but I also feel like you should be extra careful if you do go around the house naked. If you have trouble remembering things like this when you're sleepy, sorry but get into the routine of slipping something on, whether it be a bathrobe or something.
Then again if you have children and regardless of whether they're having a sleep over or not, you should cover yourself. No kid wants to see their parent's privates.
Me as a mom.
your parenting style would be to flash your child (ren) and their friends? please dont have kids.
People commenting that it's nothing you haven't seen before: we're talking about presumably young children of the opposite sex, so they probably haven't, nor should they
So you would normally walk around naked at night even when there aren't sleep overs there? What if you child(ren) saw you another time?
Why were you naked knowing your daughter was having a sleepover? That's when you definitely need to be at least wearing boxers. Sorry OP, but you deserve it.
I have to put this out there, because it was my first thought: depending on the parental situation, it could be that the daughter doesn't spend too many nights at the dad's house. If he has his daughter over every weekend or every other weekend or something, and he normally sleeps in the buff, it could have really been an easily explained honest mistake. But, seeing as they live in the US, I'm sure the stigmas with nudity are strong and that the man doesn't flaunt his naked body to his daughter. I love how crazy out of control these comments get, though.
I agree 100%!
I don't think it is that big a deal, I think some of these comments are pretty harsh. Yes it is not goof the Dad forgot and they should be aware that the daughter might be uncomfortable seeing him naked and respect that, but at night, when you think no one is around (he forgot they were in the living room) I think a quick dash to get water isn't so bad.
That's nasty, no matter the sleepover. What if your daughter had been up to get some water or use the bathroom? Get a damn robe.
Everybody just assume it's a man but there is nothing anywhere about that. You choose to see evil in that because you want to. If it's the first sleepover of the girl or just unusual I don't think you can be blame for being sleepy in the middle of the night. The fact that this person was naked in his house is nobody's business. Until proven guilty it was a genuine mistake.
I agree with you when growing up my sister and would have to share the bathroom with our mom in the morning on school days so for me an my sister it wasn't a big deal to see our mom naked

There's a thing called a bathrobe, might want to get one and hang it on the back of your bedroom door. I'm no prude and sleeping nekkid is fine, but if you've got kids and they're old enough for sleep overs, they probably are old enough to be uncomfortable with parental nudity.
If you think you feel bad about that, believe me, your daughter feels 100 times worse.
