you didn't have a cell phone with you? or even a map or SOME way to find your way if you got lost in the woods? it must have sucked, but you should have been prepared.
First day of training: Sun rises in the east. Know your surroundings. Guess you were kicked out of that group.
Really? You wandered around aimlessly for five hours? If you're part of a search and rescue group, you should know that the ONE major thing you should do when you get lost is STAY PUT. Wandering around aimlessly makes it extraordinarily difficult for anyone to find you. You, sir, are an idiot. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Being part of a search and rescue group makes not knowing that inexcusable.
That sucks. You're an idiot.
You obviously didn't learn anything. I bet you don't have a map, no compass training, no supplies and fire-starters, and have no survival training at all. If you ever would like to know how to do any of that stuff...call me..I will take you up a mountain and all around and teach you all sorts of things..otherwise..stay away from the mountains and trails... and your local S&R team sounds like a joke.
Ohhh, the irony :)

Don't join the search team if you don't know what you're doing! you could have made it that much harder on everyone else by getting lost along with whoever y'all were searching for in the first place.
Sounds like a fun time.
