Today, I went on a first date with a guy that included dinner, pool and pretty good conversation. Around Midnight he yawned and said the beer was making him sleepy, so he took me home. I wasn't tired so I changed and went out with some friends... and saw him on the dance floor. FML

The date lasted 4 hours and he took me home with the intention of going home. Not fat, not ugly...His friend ended up inviting him out. I approached him at the club to say hi and kept it moving because I was with friends. I danced with a few other people, including him. He called the next day. I actually made a joke about how funny it would be if I saw him to a friend before we went out. Wasn't down about it, just thought the irony was FML-worthy --- Some of yall are cruel! lol

ok this is NOT a FML...he took you on a good date dinner, pool etc and made a polite excuse to get outta there. you should be grateful he wasnt an ass! did you not see my best friends girl?

well, there IS a trick that some people use on first dates and that is to quit while you're ahead and leave the other person wanting more. In fact, there's a dating guru dude named David DAngelo that espouses this and advises men to ends dates early so as to make themselves more alluring to the chick. So, while it may not be the case, it IS possible he was trying to do this very thing.

I agree with #91(Straylight) DD=win!! In fact I am one of those guys who does exactly this to a girl to enhance attraction with girls i meet jst so we dnt seem clingy! Dont take it too personally though!

Perhaps he wanted to end the date on a good note, and wanted to end it before he messed it up somehow. The date sounds awesome; He may really like you : )
