Today, I went onto the treadmill at my gym. When it prompted me to enter my age I put 27. I'm 29 and am lying about my age to a workout machine. FML

It asks you your age so it knows what your normal workout level needs to be. Also, you're a completely pathetic person. Seriously? 29 is not old. Get some perspective on life.

I'm sorry but these FMLs crying for other people's pity shouldn't even get posted. "Today I ate a bunch of twinkies, then I weighted myself and realized I weight 200lbs, FML!!!!" You ******* deserve it if you chose to lie to a machine.

How about you try not lying to a tredmill? Then can you stop wasting the Internet?

Oh no! You're 29? Might as well be dead. Seriously, get over it. You're not old. There's nothing wrong with being 29.

If you were really as pathetic as you seem, you would tell the machine that you are 95 because you can't handle a workout that someone your age should be able to handle.

It doesn't really even matter what age you put into the treadmill. the 'training' zones are lower than they should be because gyms don't want to get sued. see a trainer and find out what 'training' zone you should be and then use that as a guide.

My mother is 52 and she's got more courage than you. Get a life!

HAHA all these comments are a little intense haha

Entering 27 would actually make your workout harder...

Yeah, but saying you weigh 110 lbs when you really are > 350 lbs, makes the workout much, much easier.

I do the same thing when I go to theme parks and feel up on little kids in the "You must be this age or younger" sections. Of course, Blow Pops are always a big help.

Okay... 1) What is the big change between 27 and 29? I've known people who were 27 and GASP two years later they were 29 and really I didn't see that much of a change in them - not even when they turned - dun dun dun- 30!!! 2) If you are stressed out about being 29 i'm going to hate to see you when you're 40, 50, 60, so on... I'm 18 and I would love to be 29 in all honesty. Being young but still being a full-blown adult? Sign me up! :D

Why does your tredmill need to know your age? Sounds like BS to me.

Cardio machines ask because target heart rates change depending on age. Not BS, just pathetic.

#27 you clearly have never done cardio on a machine.
