Today, I went out drinking with my friends. At the end of the night I got a cab ride home. I must have passed out because when I woke up I wasn’t at my place, but my parent’s house, which is the address on my license…120 miles away. The fare was $220. FML

YDI. Go say hi to mom, and take a bus home!!

I mean it sucks, but at least you didn't drive home yourself after drinking. So you spent $220 on cab fare, At least you still have your life. :) And if you had've drove home and gotten a DUI it would have been much more expensive.

Sounds pretty fake. How would he know to take you there unless you told him? Plus when you get a new residence you need to update your license so even if it wasn't fake, YDI for not having an updated license.

Cab drivers will actually drive you that far? *raises eyebrow*

YDI for getting blind drunk. 220$ is nothing compared to what could have happened to you. you stupid ***. get your life under control before something goes horribly wrong. remember, you can still have fun without drinking so much you pass out. did you know it causes irrepairable damage to the only brain you have. your memory will be spotty and sometimes you'll just not "get" things people say. so good luck with that.

The ONLY way for this to transpire; Cabbie picks her up. She passes out. Cabbie drives to a secluded area, has his way with her. Cabbie goes thru her stuff to see where to take her and the only address he can find is 120 miles away. He can't take her to a police station in case she realizes what's happened when the police wake her, so he HAS to take her. Or she's an ugo...

Why the **** are people being harsh on the girl? 99% of people get so drunk they are likely to pass out so no-one can lecture anybody on knowing people's limits.

aren't you supposed to update your license when you move anyway?

i work at a large cab company and im in charge of lost and found.. this happens more than you know...people have actually died in cabs from being passed out and chocking on their own vomit..so i guess it could be worse ..right?

I am a cab driver in FL and we will drive anywhere but we require a deposit up front if you are going outside of city limits. Around here that cab fare would have cost $300 for 120 miles. The penalty for not paying cab fare is jail no matter the amount. In Florida it's a 3rd degree felony under Florida Statue 817.52, hiring a vehicle with intent to defraud.

I know I like to drink, but you should at least be smart enough to go with people who will make sure you get home!
