This isn't true..I don't know how many times I have asked a taxi to drive me more than 60 miles and they say they can't do it. The driver wouldn't have driven you that far. If it is true, which is highly unlikely, then ydi for being a drunken idiot
The post is written so you deduce that the cab driver looked in her purse for her license. He would have then also seen how much cash she has and be able to decide to take her. But I agree that is HIGHLY IMPROBABLE. Sure, the cabbie gets the nice $220 fare. but then has to drive back empty for free. I'm deducing that the OP drunkenly gave a cab driver her 'home' address of her parents house and exagerated the distance and cost when posting the FML.
So, in most states, if you move, you have 10 days to update your address with the Dept of Motor Vehicles. Many people don't, but you probably could have and then your actual address would be written on the back of your license. (Unless you had paid for a whole new one for whatever reason.)
@ 35 That's true, and I did that all through college also. I must have had 5 different addresses in college. But if the OP had actually updated their address this way, she wouldn't be in this whole mess.
Wow, is this fake! Obviously supposed to be a college student, but no cab driver goes anywhere unless they first have a place to drive. And I didn't know it was so easy for cab drivers to look through people's belonging through those little windows used for handing over cash. However, it is a very cute and creative story.
YDI for getting so drunk that you passed out and anyone could take advantage of you. It's nice to have a night out, but surround yourself with your friends. Don't ride alone and pass out in the cab. Idiot.
YDI for making up a fake FML. No cab driver would drive 120 miles. Not only would he be wasting more than 4 hours of his time getting to your parents' house and coming back, but he would not be able to make any money on the return trip (since I doubt anyone in your parents' area intends to take a 120 mile trip back to the city you came from). I've heard of cab drivers who refuse to drive even 10 miles to an isolated residential area, because they know they probably will not get a fare back to the city. This is obviously fake.
ahhahha. this is amazing lol
There's nothing wrong with getting drunk occasionally, and I give the OP credit for taking a cab instead of driving. However, the OP is a dumbass for passing out before even giving the correct address! I think I'm going to go with YDI on this one, but it's not because you got drunk, it's because you didn't make sure you could get home safely before passing out.

YDI. Go say hi to mom, and take a bus home!!
I mean it sucks, but at least you didn't drive home yourself after drinking. So you spent $220 on cab fare, At least you still have your life. :) And if you had've drove home and gotten a DUI it would have been much more expensive.
