Today, I went out with a girl I like. After a movie, we went to McDonald's. There was this couple making out. The girl I was with remarked about how lame it would be to go to McDonald's on a date. I thought we were on a date. FML

Today, a guy took me on a date to McDonald’s. I smiled, but told him politely that I don’t eat fast food. He called me a stuck-up snob and a high maintenance gold digger who didn’t deserve him. I’m neither. I have IBS and greasy food sets me off. I had to walk home. FML

I'm of the opinion that men and women should pay for themselves on dates. It made sense back in the day when women didn't work or couldn't have credit, but now we should all be on equal terms even in dating.

On most occasions, yes. My boyfriend likes treating me every once in a while, but I always return the favor (unless it's Valentine's Day or our anniversary). Sometimes we even flip a coin or do rock, paper, scissors to see who pays. :P

Smart man. And no, I'm not a totally cheap bastard (not totally). I just think a first date shouldn't cost much. It's pointless and unfair for the guy as he's always expected to pay for it.
