Today, I went out to my car to run some errands. It wouldn't start. I called AAA, only to find out my battery wasn't dead, it was stolen. FML

I didn't know there were people who'd steal those.

How do you figure? The car wouldn't start because of the assumption that the battery was dead, when in fact it had been stolen. Had the battery not been stolen the car would have started right up

even though your battery's under the hood, you can still get to the latch through the grill, people. stop getting on her ass about her car not being locked.

1) it is possible to pop a hood from the outside of a car, latch or no latch. 2) it is possible to pop her locks to open the car door to get to the hood latch 3) anyone, male or female, who is going to take on the responsibility of driving a car should know basic vehicle maintenance. this includes changing a tire, how to connect jumper cables to jump start the battery, and changing/checking your oil

Why the **** did you call them before you even popped the hood? Seriously, that should be your first reaction when you're car won't start.

Wow, that sounds terribly embarrassing. It really isn't that hard to, you know, take a gander and try to figure it out yourself before you just give up and call in the cavalry.

HAHAHAHA would be a Jersey girl who cant even pop her own hood and ask for a jump...who calls AAA for a jump. Bet you can't pump your own gas either YDI

if your car doesn't after a few tries the first thing you do is check under your hood. maybe it was cold and the op didn't feel like standing in the cold.
