Today, I went over to my neighbours' to politely complain about their dog, which had been barking non-stop for hours. This issue has been going on for months, and I finally decided today, of all days, was the day to resolve it. When I got there, they'd just got home from giving birth at the hospital. FML

It's not like they can blame you for being annoyed. You should tell them anyways. Especially if its been going on for months.

Now you'll have to listen to the dog plus a crying baby.

Only one of them gave birth, the other was just a spectator. And the one that did give birth wasn't in labor for months and should have shut the ******* dog up! Farfel!!!

A spectator that had to endure helping a screaming and frantic woman through 22 or more hours of labour. Both woman and spectator will be too exhausted to care about a barking dog or their neighbours complaints. Just sayin.

Barking dog + crying infant = the perfect setup to drive someone totally insane! I'd move ASAP...

If you don't see this dog and baby in perfect harmony speak now or forever hold your peace.

They gave birth to something two times as annoying now -.- its time to move.

As long as you remained polite, and when you found out they had just returned from the birth you apologised for the poor timing everything will be ok.

I wouldn't have been polite if it was going on for months.

Well problem solved then! Kind of. They won't want the dog barking all the time disturbing the baby. Now it's just the baby's crying that will bother you and that is a much more annoying noise in my opinion.

unless they leave the baby chained to the tree to cry, I don't see it being a big problem.

This is going to get SOOOO many thumbs down but I honestly don't care : whats really the FML in this? Like its not like you knew they had a baby? And if I had a baby and my neighbor came to complain to me I wouldn't feel bad???

You could always just congratulate them on the new baby and they'd never know you were there about the dog.

This happened to me once.. Dogs are annoying..
