Today, I went through my 15 year old daughter's internet history. On google she searched 'Excuses to get away from your dad' and 5 other variations of the same thing. We were supposed to be having a father daughter day tomorrow. FML

YDI for snooping. Give her some space -- she's growing up. ...On the other hand, though, FYL because of what you found.

More like FHL for having you snoop through her history. I bet you've got plenty of stuff you wouldn't want her to see.

You are not a bad father, and it really is great that you want to be an active part of your daughter's life. You just have to understand that she is growing up, and in that stage where her entire world is based on her personal life, and she probably isn't comfortable sharing that with you just yet. She will appreciate your efforts soon though.

Holy cow for all these little kids saying give me space give this I'm a teenager. like my died father would say it's either you pay room and borad or go somewhere else and live if you don't like it here. A lot of you teenagers wouldn't. In the fml the father stated we were 'suppose' to spend the one on one so clearly the father could of thought what the hell why won't she spend time with me thinking maybe she has an interent bf and thought maybe I should do a check up and see whats happening to his surprise he finds exueses that she probably most likely used He probably does trust her it's his daughter and he is responible for her will being. Don't you people watch dr. Phil like come on here she's 15 that's just highschool not college. There's is space and 'freebom' but than there are times when the parent has to be a parent. Internt is safe than it isn't. My space facebook etc a lot of young teens post bad stuff and some people wonder where are the parents ?? So it's either you grow up or just suck it up or plain simple you don't like the rules pay or move out but most likely you'll be crawling back cause the REAL WORLD sucks with bills

Your daughter should just put the internet settings to "private browsing" so that no searches, history, or autofill usernames or passwords get saved. Then she can avoid this whole issue.

YDI for having a sn like alealovespurple. I'd run

she'll miss you when you're dead.

......maybe she doesn't want to hang out with you because you creep around in her personal, private business, like her internet history! Jeez! And your username is beyond creepy.

That's pretty hurtful. That said, she's a teenager; a lot of teens don't want to spend time with their parents. You realize after a couple of years that it's not something they can really help.

YDI for invading her privacy. That's probably why she doesn't want to hang out with you.
