Today, I went to a fast-food joint and ordered off the $1.00 menu to save money. Five hours later I go to the hospital with food-poisoning. After a whole day of not eating, crapping, puking, having tests, and a bunch of IV fluids, my $1.00 burger ended up costing me $2,000 in bills. Really. FML

Today, I went out to eat to celebrate getting over the stomach flu. I hadn't eaten solid food in over a week, so I was really excited and ordered my favorite dish. It gave me food poisoning. FML

Today, I had a stomach bug, but despite it I swallowed a mouthful of habanero sauce on a dare. I ended up projectile vomiting on a wall outside, lost my sense of balance and fell over on the sidewalk, almost blacked out from the tightness in my chest, and had to refuse an ambulance that somebody had called. All for $5. FML

Today, after months of avoiding fast food, I decided to eat some McDonald's french fries. Though the fries were delicious, they were not worth the agonizing 15 minutes I spent on the toilet afterwards. FML

Today, I had horrible pains in my stomach area so I went to the doctors. They couldn't find anything wrong and sent me to the Emergency Room for X-rays. After spending the entire day in the hospital, they tell me I'm slightly constipated. I had to pay $400 to find out I had to take a shit. FML

Today, I spent 5 hours in the emergency room for what I thought was heavy bloody diarrhea. After having various implements and doctors' fingers shoved up my ass, it turns out I was only shitting out the family-sized bag of red spicy cheese curls I had eaten for lunch. FML

You could try to sue, but I doubt it would get you anywhere, especially if no one else that ate the meat got sick. And $24k? I doubt that.

Yeah, YDI, the same thing happen to me, although for me it was the 99¢ chicken sandwich and onion rings from BK; anyway I don't have medical insurance, and was sick and in pain for 4 days, you could tell just by looking at me how much pain I was in, but I sucked it up, because I wasn't going to be able to pay for the hospital bills. This is your fault for being weak, a long time ago, people didn't have hospitals and IV's but they managed to get buy, you should to.

I dont really know if someone said this already but it WASNT food poisoning from that fast food restaurant. FP takes atleast 12 to 24 hours to really make you sick. look it up on basically any website. SO what you got sick from was not that food from the fast food place. Not only have I gotten food poisoning before but i work for a 2 high up there food companies. There is NO way you couldve gotten FP that fast unless the sandwich itself was rank beyond belief. next time before you make an ass out of yourself paying that much money for the hospital dont blame it on something you dont know about.

Wow, to the people bitching at him for eating fast food...shut the **** up. In a financial bind, are you guys honestly telling me that you haven't once gotten something cheap from McDonalds or Taco Bell? #80, are you kidding me? No one should expect, walking into a fast food place, to get food poisoning. Yeah it's not the healthiest food to get in the world but no one should expect to get sick off of food made at restaurants with franchises around the world.
