Today, I met a new guy at work who wouldn't stop hitting on me. We ended up on a six-hour shift together watching a pool, so we were wearing nothing but bathing suits when he began grabbing me inappropriately. When I confided in my female coworker about it, she told me that he was her husband. FML

Today, a guy was hitting on me when I was at a café. I told him I was married, but it didn't deter him, so I told him to go away. Later, my husband came home from work with his boss for dinner and sure enough, it was the same guy who was hitting on me. Suffice to say, it was one awkward dinner night. FML

Today, I ran into my husband and his mistress. He was picking her up at the airport. I was catching a flight to a conference with my boss. He had flowers for her, and his arm around her. My boss knows my husband as well. FML

Meh. I think that often one person considers it "flirting" while the other person is just trying to be sociable. It could be only the OP thought they were "really hitting it off" while the dude just thought he was being friendly.

For those who called BS on this fml, and said things like how she should have checked for a ring, please read this fml again. OP put wife in inverted commas, which means she found out her attractive colleague is actually gay. "wife" means his life partner.

Was he faking the call? Why is the word "wife" in quotes? It seems like it's a case of someone thinks a person likes them but the person just wants to be friends.
