Today, I went to get my hair done. The hairdresser managed to catch my eyebrow piercing in his comb and almost rip it out. I now look like I have a gunshot wound on the upper right hand side of my face. I'm getting married in a matter of hours, and I still had to pay £100 for the hair cut. FML

If anything I'd file a complaint.

Makeup? Or see if you could comb your hair over it?

Ydi for poking holes in your face that don't belong there.

I think you need one less hole in your face as well. A.K.A your mouth. Perhaps your judgmental comments might stop then.

those saying that piercings somehow make you a horrible person are judgemental and prejudiced. i have several, 4 in each ear, eyebrow, nose, lip, nape, nipple, clevage, navel. i have also had several more that i have taken out. i work as a home care worker, looking after the elderly, drug addicts, alcoholics....i am college educated and going to university in september. i am engaged to an amazing man and he is very happy with the way i look. (i also have red hair and tattoos) if you dont like piercings...dont get one! but theres no need to judge those who do like them. we are not all evil!

IMO it's not a matter of thinking people with piercings are evil. Personally I just find them unattractive, but I recognize that some people like them, and there's nothing wrong with that. To each their own.

I don't think people think that they are evil??? I've had piercings and people were rude about it, but they just thought they were unattractive and weird. Haha

I haven't seen any comments like that here...

I have had many snide comments thrown my way because I am tattooed and pierced. Not just because they think they are unattractive - I could understand that - but people assuming I am uneducated, thuggish, unemployed ETC. It really 'Grinds my gears.'

it's not YDI because she decided to have a piercing but because that's the risk you take when having a piercing. I have a dermal on my cheek and I catch it on my comb numerous times. I also have a triple forward helix and that side of my hair is cut out around my ear. getting a comb caught on 3 fresh cartilage piercings is a mistake you only make once. eyebrow rings are fairly close to the hairline, it's not like he went out of his way to "get" her I'm also a hairdresser, they're supposed to ask you to take out everything unnecessary.

I just wouldn't have paid.... At that point giving them any money would just be charity..

No, to hell with that, wedding or not 100 quid is way way too much

You don't have to pay all of it. I would pay half for injuring you.

No, no you shouldn't have had to pay. I've been cut, with that thinning razor, and I didn't have to pay. Plus they gave me a discount offer for my next hair cut. I'd complain to management to get some kind of retribution.

Should've taken the piercing out before the hairdresser began doing their job. So, it's totally a YDI post, marriage ceremony or not.

That will teach you to stick something in your eyebrow

I agree that sucks but why did you get and eyebrow piercing? And why did you have to pay full price? That's not fair

I never understand these questions. "Why did you get a piercing?" is just like asking "why did you get that haircut?" BECAUSE THEY LIKE IT and they WANTED to. Amazingly enough, different people like different things.

OP, I'm sorry that happened to you, but YDI for leaving in a piercing that close to the hairline. Hopefully make-up will be able to conceal most of the damage. A tegaderm patch over the wound will be flat and you can possibly layer concealer over it. Congrats on getting married! I wish you as many years as I've had at least (15), and definitely many more!
