Today, I went to get my hair done. The hairdresser managed to catch my eyebrow piercing in his comb and almost rip it out. I now look like I have a gunshot wound on the upper right hand side of my face. I'm getting married in a matter of hours, and I still had to pay £100 for the hair cut. FML

If anything I'd file a complaint.

Makeup? Or see if you could comb your hair over it?

I've heard of a "gunshot wedding" but this isn't it. :P

I've never heard of a "gunshot wedding" but I have heard of a "shotgun wedding". Are you sure you haven't mixed up your syllables?

The moment she said gunshot wound, it reminded me of the FML where the boy tells the girl her acne looked cool like a gunshot wound. Or something like that.

Y.D.I for not taking your piercing out first. I always take mine out before getting my haircut as they always get caught...

I have never taken mine out and I prewarn people they are there. Really am eye brow ring shouldn't be getting caught during a hair cut anyways they should more cautious of your face I would think.

I agree she maybe should have taken them out. But I don't think that means she deserves getting her face ripped up.

My wedding day, the hairdresser who was meant to be a friend of family made my hair look like a birds nest i cried and cried had to pay £150 and still come home wash it out and do it all over myself! Never let anyone do anything for you on your wedding!! I understand how you feel!!

I don't know why i get negative votes its stupid... Thats what happened to me why is it negative for my comment?(( No one knows what you want only you do. ))

that happened to me once! i was getting a fringe put in and the hairdresser caught my anti-eyebrow (surface piercing on the cheek) it tore and wouldnt heal properly so i had to take it out :(

YDI for even keeping the piercing in. Now you know better for next time. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, everyone knows that.

wtf? she wanted to keep the peircing and a bloody professional hairdresser should be able to style hair without ripping out piercings.

50: all 21 of my above-the-neck piercings stay in when I get my hair done. in fact, I can't physically remove several of the ones in my ears myself, so it's not even an option. it's also never been a problem either, because my hairdresser is not an incompetent moron. also, believe it or not, some people can't leave any piercing out for even a few minutes without it shrinking too much & not being able to put the jewelry back in, even something like an eyebrow or a lip. so don't be so quick to jump on the "YDI for keeping it in" train when we don't know if that was or wasn't OP's specific reason for keeping it in.
