Today, I went to the dentist. After drilling my teeth for what seemed like hours, he gave me a long speech about how if I continue to smoke, the yellowing of my teeth won't be the only problem. I don't smoke. I never have. FML

What is it with dentists with HORRIBLE bed-side manners?! I had a run in with a new dentist last week. I went to bed with my teeth being just fine...woke up and one was chipped. So I went in and he yelled at me because I couldn't tell him how I did it, and accused me of lying to him. I went home to see my regular dentist..and it was a calcium deficeny (ahhhh....pregnancy. Lol.)

Are you sure you don't sleep smoke?

You may have "FLUORIDOSIS". Check this out at http://wikipedia.org & www.google.com Enter the term in the searchbar at* http://www.mercola.com Consider a CHLORELLA* detox. Use fluoride free toothpaste, and get a REVERSE OSMOSIS water filter.

metonymy (#22), I know exactly how you feel. Most people here are very ignorant and whenever there's a post that involves yellow teeth they keep saying it's gross and that it must be bad oral hygiene while nothing in the original post indicates such. I also have always had yellowish teeth (inherited them from my father), and I brush and floss just like everyone else, don't smoke or drink coffee, etc, and yet they're yellow. And it's a real pity that most people here (and in real life) don't know or even want to know that yellow teeth might be genetic. But oh well. At least some of us know and don't immediately jump to conclusions about the OP.
