At least you know before getting past the planning stage.
Look at it this way, if you become a doctor you'll be the inner giving the shots :3
I'm premed as well. You don't have to have an iron stomach to be a doctor. It develops over time. I promise. Don't give up. Seriously. I am squeamish when it comes to needles in my arm but after being chronically ill for 10years - I'm over it. I welcome it in the ER BECAUSE I know it brings fluids and medicine and always make me feel better. It takes time. Relax. Breathe. Many are squeamish at first. MANY! I read a story on here not too long ago of a guy who is in his 3rd or 4th year of med school who threw up in the OR while observing a surgery for the first time. (Thank God observers aren't close to the body cavity.) It'll be alright and it's no reason to give up.
Wtf?
am i the only person alive that LOVES needles...and getting shots!? probably... oh well- Im often in the minority. ^_^ just have nurses give the shots and follow your dream if that is what you wanna do.
Needles aren't the worst things doctors see. Rotting limbs covered in pus, parasite worms, toren faces. If you can't take it, you should probably reconsider your future profession.

Close your eyes every time you put a needle in someone's arm. What could possibly go wrong?
Be a specialty doctor? I'm sorry. :(
