Today, I went to the doctor to get a blood test and I started crying when I saw the needle. I planned on becoming a doctor. FML

Close your eyes every time you put a needle in someone's arm. What could possibly go wrong?

My husband passes out when he has blood drawn but had to give me daily shots when we were trying to get pregnant. He injected some humor into the situation and got through it. He still passes out when blood is drawn though since then. Our daughter is a little like that too.

I still hate needles coming at me. I've been a gyn surgeon for 6 years.

Good choice using the past tense of plan because there's no way you could be a doctor good luck OPI

It looks like you won't be calling the shots. Healthcare isn't for you if you cry at the sight of needles. I got scared once the first time I got a shot. I think I was four...

Exposure therapy or "flooding". Barbaric, but effective.

I almost throw up when I get my blood taken but I can take blood from other people no problem.

No problem. Even don't like looking down rifle barrels.

I work as a phlebotomist. I get queasy if I watch a needle go in me. I am detached from queasy feelings if I am the one doing a blood draw. It may still work as long as you don't have to draw your own blood.

I'm sure you can still be a doctor, the only reason why you're scared is because you know they were going to use the needle on you, I'm sure you won't be scared and cry when you're the person hurting others.

Are you 5 years old? How have you not seen a needle until now?
