Today, I went to the movies on a date. I went to pay for the tickets when I realized that I didn't have my wallet. Instead of my boyfriend paying, he laughed and paid for his own ticket. Then he went ahead and saw the movie without me. FML

Today, my boyfriend wanted to take me to a movie after days of not seeing me. This long-awaited date involved me paying for food and my movie ticket when he ran out of cash again. He then dumped me as we left the theater walking to his car. Yes, I financed my own breakup date. FML

Today, I went to the movies with my boyfriend. We went inside the theatre and he saw a couple of his friends. Instead of saying hi and coming back to watch the movie with me, he ditched me for them. When I reminded him he was forgetting something, he grabbed the popcorn out of my hands and left. FML

Today, this guy and I went on a date to the movies. We got up to the desk and I asked for one ticket for 'Jennifer's Body.' The guy moved his way in front of me and said, "make that two tickets." He then walked away to look at movie posters and left me with the $22.50 charge. FML

Today, while on my way to the movies, I stopped at a gas station to pick up candy so I could avoid the high prices at the movies. The guy who tore my ticket asked for my purse, confiscated my candy, and then kicked me out of the movie theater. That guy was my boyfriend. FML

I ran late, so in a hurry to make the movie, and trying to be smooth for her, I told the waiter I'd "take care of him" if he made it fast. He did. Today, I had a date with a girl I've liked for a while. We went out to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. I was obviously going to pay, but when the bill came I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. When I told her, she thought I was a cheap liar and now she won't answer my calls. FML

There are many different things with this. If you are paying for both tickets, and then he pulled this. He's an ass. Ditch him fast. If you were just paying for your ticket, then he did this, I'm iffy because I don't know if this is a first offense or not. Just because it does happen. My dad left his wallet in Oklahoma when we were driving up to Iowa. I left my wallet in Texas driving up to Wisconsin. It happens sometimes. If it was a matter of he just couldn't afford both tickets, I would have suggested a different date night activity that is cheaper. Or even going back to get the wallet and picking a later show time.

This is not about men needing to pay for their partner's expenses on dates - which they don't have to do, for the record. This is about one partner forgetting their wallet and the other one not being willing to lend them the money for the ticket.
