don't worry....jamrock is basically the same all year round so just come when you can
you deserved that. anyone who thinks otherwise also deserves it.
at least you weren't stuck in Jamaica
A lot of people out there have to learn how to have more sympathy. People lately have been clicking the YDI button a lot without thinking and this one is proof. You deserve it means that they DESERVE it. Like they did something bad that brought it on themselves, or just something so completely stupid that it seems outragrous. This one is neither. Their life does suck. They did nothing to deserve missing a much needed vacation, just misread a date on their passport, or made an assumption that it lasted a little longer than it did. I'm sure if any of the 5500 people they YDI'd had posted something like this they would've expected a little sympathy. It really disgusts me how often stories of small mistakes like this get posts like #6's and #19's.
Yep, I'd totally expect sympathy. Just like I would expect a police officer to be sympathetic and NOT give me a ticket just because I was driving with an expired license. I'd also expect my insurance company to be sympathetic and cut me some slack. Sorry, but it's OP's responsibility to make sure her documents are in order. Just like a student who doesn't turn in an assignment deserves a zero grade, OP deserves this. I haven't had to use my passport in years, I don't have any plans to any time soon, but I still renewed it when it expired last year. Again, personal responsibility. If OP did misread the date, well, that's why you check important stuff like that more than once, and with plenty of time before the trip. If they indeed "assumed" that it lasted longer, then they REALLY deserve it.
Just because they were dumb, doesn't mean they deserve it. Yeah, it is pretty obvious that you should make absolutely sure your documents are in order, but did they do anything mean or hateful to DESERVE IT? No, they simply made a big mistake, and therefore their life sucks.
wow i thought i was the only 1 who thought ppl need sympathy. too bad only a very few replied to this...
.... you can still use your passport even though it has expired i used my last year and i got it when i was 14 and im 22 it expired and it is still good untill ten years later
I hate to be a bitch, but that is something you should have checked

Ha ha, oh ouch, but YDI, you should've checked it out beforehand. Still sucks majorly though =/.
shouldn't you check these things before you go, especially if you were really excited.
