Today, I woke up to my cat giving birth, on my bed. I adopted her from a friend, who told me she was spayed. Now I have a giant mess and a cat who won't let me move either her or her babies. Guess I'm sleeping on the couch for a while. FML

DommeAshlee tells us more.

This is OP. Mama and babies are safely tucked away in the guest bedroom. The mom put up one hell of a fight and i have the scratches to prove it. All six kittens are doing fine. Spoke to my friend, she admitted to lying about spaying the cat. I told her she could pay the vet bills and buy me a new mattress.

Well that sounds fair for what she did. Enjoy the adorable kitten stage while it lasts!

Aww kittens! Take a bunch of pictures of them in teacups and shit and become famous on the Internet! Remember OP, the teacup is half FULL. Of kittehs.

Won't let you? It is a freaking cat not a grizzly bear. Move the Damn cat and get a good night of sleep.

Cats are just as vicious. You would be surprised. Unless OP's friend "got the cat declawed",too.

That's when they use their razor like teeth. The cat will be sore. I wouldn't touch it. After you sleep it could get revenge on you, if you actually move it. Lol sleep with one eye open!

If the cat is so vicious, the answer is simple. Take a hammer and bash it one on the head. Not enough to kill it, but knock it out. Then move it.

#79 bash it on the head? Are you kidding me?! Just for that I feel like bashing you on the head, "but only hard enough to knock you out." Bash = really hard hit = possibly enough to kill or injure them. You don't injure an animal just so you can sleep on a bed, which is now going to be covered in fluids anyway.

80, I'm assuming that 79 was joking. Well, I hope so anyway.

New mother cats are usually very protective of their newborn babies. I'm sure she'll move them very soon in her own. (: And Aweee I love kittens but my cats are all fixed. :P

If you need kitten time, work with a rescue to foster kittens like I do. It's amazing. Hard to say goodbye when it's time for them to be adopted, but very rewarding.

That sounds great. . . However knowing myself, I'd end up keeping all of them. I already have 3. Don't want to be a crazy cat lady. :P

42- sounds like you're well on your way...

Sadly, this has happened to me also. Except my cat died during the birth.

I am so sorry! I've had to deal with my fair share of losing my cats. My first cat and one of her kittens almost died while giving birth. She had already delivered five kittens when the sixth and final kitten got stuck halfway and she was simply too exhausted to push any more. I had to gently pull her kitten out. My cat's sister was pregnant as well so she helped clean the kittens and actually fed some of them. It was the sweetest thing to see them both helping each other out with bathing and feeding the other's kittens. They were so close with each other.

A lot of mother cats do that my grandparents have a farm and they have cats and last time i went there were two mothers that helped each other out with the kittens even though the mothers arent related as far as i could tell

My dog gave birth on my bed once, cute staffie pups. But disgusting bloody ****** goo

I was thinking of the mess, maybe op needs a new bed... Lol

As a vet tech, I have seen cases where a cat was "spayed", but went into heat anyway because they accidentally left an ovary in. I'm not sure how someone would accidentally leave a whole horn of the uterus in though. I'm guessing your friend lied, or was lied to when they adopted/bought her.

Grab the four corners of your blanket, tie it up, drive to your friend's house, and make their bed with your blanket. Kinda passive-aggressive, but it gets rid of the cats!
