Wow. Should feed them. That way one wont look at the other with a blood thirsty stare.
There shall be only one..
How do they eat them? Like how do hamsters kill another one? And then do they just nibble at a small bit at a time or? Cause I imagined the hamster just devouring it slowly like a snake does to a mouse so I laughed at this horribly unfortunate situation ahaha
Look up squirrel fights. Waaaaaay more intense than you think. Thats what imagined the hamsters doing
You would be amazed what even something as docile as a hamster can do in a fight or flight situation. And in a hamster cage, flight isn't an option.
They have teeth. They're actually kind of nasty, good at puncturing fingers and tearing flesh.
Now it has a taste for meat, good luck!
Chang!
Because hamsters are horrible, nasty, cranky, smelly little bastids with creepy little tails. Much better pet? A rat.
Rats make awesome pets. I had two. One died, so I got a replacement companion. Unfortunately, brown rats and semi-hairless don't really get along. Too different, it seems. So we had to get them a cage with a divider, or they would literally start boxing with each other. But when they grow up together, and are the same species, they seem to get along... I managed to house-train the semi-hairless, and he even got along with one of my cats. He ended up boxing my other cat in the nose, when he tried to pick him up. But I still have pictures of my cat and rat curled up in a box together or on my bed.
Yea... whomever you bought the hamsters from should have probably told you this. Or you could have been proactive and not just thought, hey these are just lets put them together. My friend had this happen with her Beta fish. She put them in together (for some dumb reason) and wondered why she came back to FinFin and Frisky eating one another. If you want to own pets, at least know the basics... like if the pet will eat the other.
It's a hamster eat hamster world out there. Better get used to it.
I think the real problem here is not that you housed two hamsters together but rather that you provided such poor food and entertainment that they were forced to create their own rendition of the movie that was never made , " gladiator vs. hannibal" shame on you op. shame on you .
