Today, I woke up to the news that my son had put the cat in the dryer the night before. He didn't turn it on, and the cat is just fine, but now I need a new dryer so my clothes won't smell like cat urine. FML

At least you don't need a new dryer AND a new kitty. And I would suspect the smell of burning kitty hair and flesh and death would be a little worse than cat pee. F the cat's life.

A few cycles at maximum teperature and some cleaning should fix the smell @114 (Rusty Guns) Nope they aren't, they learn and explore, for making mistakes especially when we have not told the what will be the results, it's not their fault!

No, I'm pretty sure they're just dumb. I feel sorry for them, they're so stupid.

Oh, poor kitty. Long talk with your son forthcoming, or I hope. My last roommate accidentally locked her cat in the dryer. She was doing laundry and he was hovering around her and he jumped in as she was done and she closed the door with her butt and left for the night. She felt terrible! My cats like to hover around me so I always do a kitty census whenever I'm doing laundry or coming in/out of the garage.

My grandmother accidentally locked one of our cats in the dryer and then turned it on! She was switching over the laundry and our cat jumped in while she was getting the clothes out of the washer. She threw the clothes in, shut the door and turned it on. He only went for a tumble or two because she heard the thump before she left the laundry room so he was fine but she felt terrible. It never stopped him from sitting in the dryer though.. he loved sitting in the warmth.

I'm glad the cat didn't suffocate. There might be a serious problem here depending on his age. I hope you keep an eye on how your son treats the cat and other animals and particularly how they react to him. If he was simply too young to know better, I think you should have been keeping a sharper eye on him so he didn't have the chance to do this.

your son has problems and your kid might just turn out to be the next jason xD

Wow, some of you need to lay off. The kid's being a kid. I did all sorts of obnoxious shit when I was little. I was punished for it, like this kid should be, but with the understanding that I was a KID. He's not gonna be a serial killer, ****, he probably had no clue what would have happened. As for coming down on dad...shit happens, no parent ever can anticipate every thing a kid's going to do and prevent it.

I CALL FAKE. If the cat was in there all night, it probably slept at some point. And a cat will NOT "eliminate" where it sleeps.

Cats, like humans, can not hold in their urine forever. Most cats will not WILLINGLY pee where they sleep, but depending on how long they were trapped in the drier, it may have been beyond their control.

Wow, that was my first post here ever, and it got removed? There was no vulgarity in it, just what I thought to be a valid point. Can the moderators please explain?

Hi Zitroaneleh. Your (7th ever) comment was moderated because it violated one of the site rules, namely: "Don't post any comments which comment on the validity of an FML (screaming Fake, It's not an FML for example), or even on whether the FML deserves to be on the website. Don't ruin the website for the other users." I tend to let it slide when there's a proper explanation for why you think it's a fake, but some of my fellow moderators don't. I've restored your post this time ;)

Really, the 7th post? Yikes, that's what happens when your brother uses your computer sometimes. Also, the violation is a direct result of MY failure to read ALL of the site rules. My apologies. Thanks for the explanation.

Cats like any mammal humans included may pee WILL pee involuntary when frightened or traumatized!!
