Today, I woke up to the news that my son had put the cat in the dryer the night before. He didn't turn it on, and the cat is just fine, but now I need a new dryer so my clothes won't smell like cat urine. FML

Today, I woke up at the ungodly hour of 4AM to my cat clawing at my door and yelling at me. Normally I'd just wait until he stopped, but he was persistent, so I got up and opened the door to see what he wanted. He then corralled me to the laundry room. My dryer was on fire. Good boy. FML

Today, I was looking in my laundry basket for a clean tank top to wear. As I felt around, I realized that most of my clothes were still wet after two days. After asking my mom what was wrong with the dryer, I found out that for two days my cat had been using my laundry basket as a litter box. FML

Today, I was hurriedly doing laundry. I threw a second load in the dryer and slammed the door shut. All of a sudden, I heard scratching and whining coming from the dryer. My cat probably hates me now. FML

Today, I woke up and stepped on a wet jacket. After smelling what it was, it turns out the cat had peed all over my laundry, especially the waterproof jacket, and after attempting to clean it up, it dripped everywhere and the entire apartment now smells like cat piss. FML

Today, after putting the same load of laundry through the wash four times, I was wondering why my clothes kept smelling worse and worse. Turns out, my cat learned how to open and pee in the detergent funnel. FML

Today, I've been potty training my son and almost all of his clothes have been peed on, but for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to do all the laundry together. When I was getting it out of the dryer, everything smelled like pee. FML

At least you don't need a new dryer AND a new kitty. And I would suspect the smell of burning kitty hair and flesh and death would be a little worse than cat pee. F the cat's life.

That's bull. I used to blow up grasshoppers with fireworks with my friends when we were kids and we're just fine. My brother broke the jaws of small frogs and stuffed fireworks down their throats and he's fine as well.

Check you local pet supply stores for cat urine neutralizer. There's no need to get rid of the dryer when you can neutralizer the ammonia in the urine.

how in the world do you not tell a kid how not to treat a cat? when I was a kid my dad got me a cat but before we went to pick one out at the shelter he sat me down and had a LONG talk about stuff like not pulling it's tail or holding it too much or keeping it from getting too it's litter box etc YDI for a) not teaching your kid how to handle a cat and b) not paying attention to your kid.
