Today, in an effort to look more professional at work, I wore high heels. My boss decided today would be a great day for me to walk around on the sidewalk holding a sign to advertise instead of doing the job I was hired for. FML

Anyone who tells you you have to wear heels to look professional can bugger off. Feeling confident in what you're wearing makes a pair of flats professional,(so long as they aren't flip flops). If it is a male who is saying that your flat work shoes don't seem professional enough and you should be wearing heels, then just ask him why doesn't he do it instead. If heels are so fantastic he should try wearing them all day.
