If the car was brand new, its under warranty. You'd also get a loaner if it took more than 24 hours, or they'd at least guide you to a location that had loaners.

Actually there is. if the vehicle is under warranty and it was a defect from manufacturer it must be fixed under warranty, even if its with the same defective part and only temporary, that is as long as it doesn't cause safety hazards.
