Today, in the middle of my online midterm, my computer decided to update and closed out of the test. It can't be retaken. FML

Doesn't it usually warn you before it does?

Don't you just love technology?

Online courses are hazardous at times. I work at an online high school, and these technology issues are always tough to deal with. I would request an exception to the "no retake" rule, since I'm sure your instructor can see you didn't complete it, and because this is such an unusual situation. Best of luck!

And number 27- obviously you didn't know they could do that- you can't even spell the word computer much less use one.

It was probably your fault, computer updates are scheduled and can be postpone for any reason, so the only way this occurred was if you ignored the notifications.

Use Windows sparingly. Hence why I jumped ship to Ubuntu.

That's a poor design flaw on the test's part

You can email your prof and retake it. No harm in explaining the situation, at any rate.

I take online classes as well it's called copy the questions and post them in word get the answer bold answer next question. If your gonna do online you should be smart enough to figure that out

Just talk to your prof and show a copy of the update log. It may be a tough sell though since updates very rarely don't warn you before restarting. Worth a shot
