Today, is the first day of my honeymoon. It has been 6 years since I took a "real" vacation. We have 3 kids and a small house, and now we have 9 days alone in random hotels to do what couples do on their honeymoon without kids... Day one, I got my period 7 days early. FML

I love having sex on my period. My boyfriend doesn't mind. I'm hornier on my period and I ****** so much harder. He won't eat me out too much on my period though and I'd want some of that on my honeymoon...Anyway, fyl if you're husband's an asshole and won't have sex with you because of that.

The pill can help delay the period if planned correctly, but jeez it's not foolproof! Mine often comes early even when I'm trying to delay it with my BC pill, usually from stress or just regular breakthrough bleeding. You could try using a menstrual cup instead of pads or tampons, if you and your husband don't want to have sex with the bloody mess. If not, you could put a towel underneath you, and try to be as physically active as possible to speed up the blood flow so that it will be finished sooner =)

the pill doesn't work for everyone and there can be health issues for some women.

The thing I like about the pill is that it makes my periods shorter and lighter and gets rid of my bad cramps. Before I started taking the pill, I had agonizing cramps that had me doubled over screaming into a pillow. There are a lot of different types of birth control out there and women react differently to different types. I've heard horror stories. It's a personal decision.
