To me, this sounds like a "love languages" issue. To you, quality time must be the most important thing. That is why you think that must also be the most important thing to other people as well. Different people hold different things to be important. It is not uncommon to want to see that your loved one will declare publically how he/she feels about you. That's why ladies have loved for years to have our flowers delivered to us at the office rather than at home... so everyone can see them! Learn your girlfriend's love language, which appears to be "words of affirmation", espeically in public. Not talking about your girlfriend in public is a huge indicator of wanting to leave and/or cheating. Has she been with someone in the past who was good to her in private but dissed her in public?
