Today, minutes before I walked down the aisle at my wedding, my drunk mother stumbled up to me and told me she was depressed and wanted to leave. FML

Hopefully she felt horrible once she sobered up. I bet your wedding was great and wonderful. Congratulations, OP!

Sounds like it's time to pump some more alcohol into her so that she passes out and misses the whole thing!

It's your day not hers and it's one of the most important of your life don't let her ruin it (: I hope the rest of the wedding went off without a hitch

Maybe she wanted a husband too?

That's ok she doesn't want to see her future grandchildren then.

Good grief, the lady was slightly intoxicated and probably sad her daughter was making a big decision. Don't hold valuable things away from close family just because of small stupid things.

I hope she didn't spoil your day too much. You must have been nervous enough without your mother kicking off.

OP, Its YOUR day, not hers. Do NOT let a drunken mother ruin the day for you! If she wants to leave, so be it. That is her choice. Im sure she has plenty of her own problems by the sound of it. Dont let her problems become yours. BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!

First off congrats on your marriage OP. Second does no one have any respect anymore? Your mom could of been courteous enough to show up sober and give her support.

Drunkenness is always at the worst point...hope the wedding went well otherwise OP...congrats by the way...

Oh my god, I'm so sorry, OP! I hope the rest of the wedding went well.

If she's actually suffering from depression it's not really her fault. If she's just an attention *****, well that's a different story altogether. Congrats anyway. Wedding. Yay!
