Today, my 15-year-old daughter asked for a ride to her boyfriend's house. It's the same house I've been driving her to for sleepovers with her friend "Kate" for two years. FML

This is a bit of a tough one, but I'm going to have to go with YDI for not taking more of an interest in your daughter's life and not insisting on meeting the parents the first time you dropped her off for a sleepover.

Maybe she actually does have a friend named Kate, and she met her boyfriend because he was Kate's brother? It's a long shot, but stay positive!

Seriously? When I was your daughters' age, my parents would always go to the door with me and talk to the other parents when they dropped me off for a sleepover, not every time- but at least the first few times.. Did you ever talk to the other parents or ask about their "daughter"?

At least she's having a good relationship

I don't understand why people are saying that's its OPs fault. Her kid lied to her. Maybe she made up an entire personality for this Kate person, enough to fool OP. And I also don't know why people are so sure she's dating Kate's brother. Maybe it's not. It's possible that she is, but it's equally possible shes not. In my opinion, FYL

If it's been two years then you may as we'll go along with it. YDI

So you let your daughter sleep over someone's house, and you don't even know who they are? What a great parent you are

He could be Kate's brother. How do you not meet the person she is hanging out with.

And the parent of the year award goes to...

How do you know her boyfriend isn't her friend's brother or something?

It's possible her boyfriend is Kate's brother.
