Today, my 26th birthday party got busted by my parents due to them coming home early because of a flight cancellation. Everyone had to leave, but not before my mother made me go to my room. FML

Today, my parents and I went to the movies for my mom's birthday. After the movie, my mom and dad got into a fight, and left me at the movies. My cell phone was dead, and my house was about 12 miles away. They finally came and picked me up, hours later. FML

Today, I got into trouble for moving my chair around in class, which went on my permanent record, while other people were literally throwing things across the room and being loud but they didn't get in trouble. Tomorrow's my birthday and now my parents won't let me go out, even after I told them what happened. FML

Today, it was my 18th birthday and I was told I couldn't get the night off work because a party of 34 had booked into the restaurant. It turned out my family had come in to 'celebrate' by making me wait on them. They were a nightmare, thought it was hilarious to be difficult, and didn't tip. FML

Today, after my parents left for the weekend, my "friends" decided to throw a party at my house, despite my protests. In order to get them to leave, I called the police. I was the only one arrested, while they got warnings. FML

Today, it's my birthday. After a day out partying, I came home to find all my stuff smashed in the yard, even my 42" plasma TV. After asking my girlfriend what her problem was, she said a "slut" left a message on the machine stating how fun last night was. It turned out to be my mom. FML

there could be many reasons why OP hasn't moved out yet, like my aunt, she was 25 and living with her parents because she was trying to save up for her wedding gown etc etc, but sorry OP that's quite embarrassing on your behalf!

I'm so sick of people saying anyone still living with their parents if they're older than 18 deserves whatever bad luck befalls them. Guess what? Times are different and hard. Thousands of students are in debt with no way to pay it off because they can't find work, or if they do, it's a minimum-wage job that they can't make a living at. They can't afford to pay for student loans, rent, utilities, etc. Many young adults are still living with their parents for those reasons. I'm so glad to hear so many people are financially stable enough to move out and live on their own with absolutely no problems. Really, it must be nice.

I Agee with you. I live out on my own but my bf is the only with a job because we have no vehicle at all. We can't afford a vehicle because we live pay check by pay check trying our best to pay our bills and out food on our table. Many days i go hungry till around supper.
