Today, my 4-year-old son cut half of my hair when I was asleep because he thought I would look better that way. FML

Show yourself OP with your new haircut! We promise we won't be THAT mean.

Obviously, it wouldn't be a FML if it did look better.

Good thing he did not poke you in the eye .

Maybe that was his real intention.....

Nice one leaving your kid unattended with scissors, you are lucky it's just your hair you cut...

Re-read the FML. OP was SLEEPING. You're sort of vulnerable when you're asleep. The kid could have woken up in the middle of the night, or earlier than OP did, and then found where the scissors were hidden.

If a 4 year old can access scissors while you sleep, it's shitty parenting. Find a better scissor hidy-place.

96- If it's capable of being found then it's probably not a good place... period.

A four year old is very capable of finding and reaching things. I caught my 3 year old pulling out drawers into a staircase to get to the biscuit tin in the top cupboard.

A four-year-old wielding sharp, metal objects around his mom's face and neck while she is in a deep slumber. What could go wrong? I suggest you not piss off the little pre-murderer before you pass out again.

Kinda why you don't leave scissors where a 4 year old can get to them. FYL completely.

The kid is 4... Not an idiot. Wouldn't be hard.

Well duh kids are extremely smart, my sister learned how to ride a 2 wheeled bike at 3. But what kids are at that age is short. scissors were kept at the top of our fridge until she knew better.

From when I was 18 months old I used to often climb on top of the fridge. I would climb everything I could: burglar bars, furniture, trees... when I have kids anything dangerous is going into a locked cupboard!

When I was a year old or so, I'd manage to jump out of my crib.... So, actually, I'd agree, kids are quite smart, if not curious.

Ahh sorry I accidentally thumbs this down. Meant to thumbs this up. I totally agree. Kids cant find what they can't see.

Well, it is the thought that counts, did you look better?

Cute gesture... too bad it wasn't well executed

First they're sour, then they're sweet. Is your son a sour patch kid?

Kids do the darnest things...
