For a breed bred to survive on small portions, huskies are the most food obsessed creatures ever. Mine now climbs up the back of my chair to reach where the cat food is. The other day I was making a sandwich and he snuck behind me when I went to get the meat and stole the bread.

Mine isn't even a year old yet. We just keep correcting him. Only thing we can do. For the most part he is a very well behaved dog. Most of the problems I have are just him bring a puppy. I see him outgrow more and more each month. Patience and training seem to be the trick. My other one was an evil genius. I think if she had opposable thumbs she would have taken over the world.

I have a seven year old female tortoise shell cat, she does the same thing when i have something in my hand or have a cheese stick in my hand, especially the cheese stick.

He's overweight because you feed him too much. He attacked you for "food" because you didn't train him properly and he doesn't respect you.
