Hopefully even if she checks out again once she sobers up she may find it easier to go back next time. I dare say they have dealt with both issues before.
Better than her saying: They tried to make me go to rehab, I said, "No, no, no"
There's nothing wrong with that.
If you gotta go to rehab you might as well have a little fun while you are there.
You should be glad she checked herself in at all... What I hope for you is that she's doing it for herself and not because people keep telling her to. An alcoholic/drug addict won't stop if they don't actually want to. Having seen my grandfather relapse time and time again after promising to quit drinking for my grandma, I know this is more than true. The reason he kept going back to the bottle is because he never wanted to leave it in the first place! The only reason he ever attempted to get clean was to appease family members. I'm watching a friend of mine go through the same thing now and it's frustrating. He keeps promising his mother he'll stop doing drugs and drinking but he keeps going back each time (usually within a month) because he doesn't REALLY want to stop. Anyways, sorry for the long post. My point is, if she's getting help for herself you should be happy. If she's doing this on her own instead of by the persistence of family members, she'll have a much better chance of winning the battle.
I completely agree with you. I have seen this happen before as well and it is true, the only way there will be change, is if the person really wants to change. Not because others are pressuring him/her to do so.
Good new your mom coming out of rehab sobber bad news your having a new baby brother/sister!!!
Wtf is your problem? Your mom is trying to get help and all you can do is bitch. "she was drunk when she checked into rehab. YEAH, SHE'S A ******* DRUNK! She needs help and is obviously trying to get it. You kinda of sicken me.
Hey, at least she made the decision to get some help, be happy about that.

Hey at least she's getting help.
Stop complaining. At least she is admitting to having a problem. At least she is there.
