Today, my band went to play a set for the first time. I'm the drummer. All was going well, and then before our first song I threw the sticks in the air, went to catch them, and one hit me right in the eye. I couldn't continue playing. Now I have to wear an eyepatch. FML

Today, I went to a gig. The drummer threw his drumsticks out at the end and I managed to catch one. With my face. Not only did I get a black eye, but the person next to me snatched the drumstick from my hands. FML

Today, my band was playing its first serious gig. I was in the middle of a solo when a drunk guy tackled me, causing me to crash into the drums, breaking them and my guitar, hitting our drummer, knocking him out. FML

Today, whilst tuning my guitar, one of the steel strings snapped and hit me in the face. Now I'm on my way to my first date with the girl of my dreams, and I'm wearing an eye patch and have a thick red line across my face. FML

Today, I was jamming out and playing some air guitar. I somehow managed to knee myself directly in my left eye socket. I now have a hideously swollen face and a black eye. When people ask me what happened, I'll be hesitant to tell the truth. FML

Today, I had my first gig with my new band. I was concentrating on my guitar during the second song when I tripped over the singer's microphone cable, hit my head on the bass drum, and blacked out. When I came to, people were applauding, apparently thinking it was part of the act. FML

Today, the drummer from my favorite band threw a drumstick into the crowd during a concert. It hit me on the head and bounced into my friend's hands. She left with a drumstick from a band she didn't want to see in the first place. I left with a bruise. FML

no need to be sexist a hole.. Some woman can rock out on the drums, guitar, bass, etc. It's a little something called talent, which both genders can have. So yeah you shut the **** up, there are some really great woman musicians out there (I'm not talking about britney spears or bitches like her). I'm talking about some kick ass all female bands. The Runaways Sandy West was an awesome drummer.. Lita Ford can rock out (it sucks that men don't appreciate her for her talent, all they care about is her hotness) She's not a drummer but an awesome guitarist. So you need to get off your high horse there buddy, because you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to what gender can play and what can't. You my friend are what people call a male chauvinistic pig.

Here's a tip: don't play a round of "hey y'all watch this!" before a set. Was your band able to play without you, or were they screwed, too? I have the feeling you're going to be the next Pete Best.
