Today, my best friend and I came home from Japan. Her boyfriend and I have been having an affair before I left so I decided not to tell him she was coming with me. We just got off the plane and got a bite to eat, he was waiting for me so he could propose, my best friend was standing next to me. FML

Today, I left for a one and a half month trip to Japan with my boyfriend. He promptly broke up with me the first night in the hotel. When asked why he couldn't have waited until the trip was over, he said he didn't want to create "false memories". FML

Today, I introduced the girl I was talking to my best friend, and we all hung out. Until this day, her and I were doing great. After my friend left, she started gushing about how hot he is. He wasn't hitting on her at all. I reminded her that, and that he has a girlfriend. She was calm, but visibly upset. FML

I agree with 465. sure OP did something bad but I don't think she deserves this. people from all over the globe yelling names at her? you guys are judging her without hearing the full story first. sometimes love happens and it may cause problems. when you're actually in the situation your morals completely change. right now it might seem like "ew bitch ****" but if u were in her situation trust me you'd think about this wayyy differently. so cut her some slack! who are we to tell her how to live her life?

When she decided to submit the story to this site, she had to have known people were going to say she deserved it. If she didn't want people commenting on the whole thing, then she shouldn't have submitted the story in the first place. Oh, and "when you're actually in the situation your morals completely change"? Not necessarily. Some people would never betray a friend like that.
