Today, my book bag was so heavy that it set off my car's passenger detection system in the front seat. I had to buckle in my textbooks. FML

This generation is going to have the worst back problems because of this kind of shit. FYL.

At least you know the safety system works. :)

my bag in high school was about 20-25 lbs. and I would also have my trumpet across my back in a case. I had to walk to and from school almost two miles. at least it wasn't barefoot uphill in a foot of snow :p

22 you can save the textbooks on your actual computer as well or allow you retrieve what you bought if you lose/break/etc. the ereader. So yeah, as a student I prefer the ereader over textbooks (less weight, hassle, and lower fees). Sounds like a winning deal to me, my back, and my wallet!

Why is this a FML? Her bag was heavy, how does that get past the moderators?

We need a button that says "this is not an fml". Not sure if it's my school, but this happens to most of the people I know.

I guess I'm lucky my school only makes us carry textbooks twice a year: once in the beginning of the year to bring them home and again at the end of the year to give them back

I had that happen with 1 textbook when I was going through paramedic school. It weighted 25 lbs and was $500. That was one of 15 books. Luckily the others weren't nearly as expensive.
