my bag in high school was about 20-25 lbs. and I would also have my trumpet across my back in a case. I had to walk to and from school almost two miles. at least it wasn't barefoot uphill in a foot of snow :p
22 you can save the textbooks on your actual computer as well or allow you retrieve what you bought if you lose/break/etc. the ereader. So yeah, as a student I prefer the ereader over textbooks (less weight, hassle, and lower fees). Sounds like a winning deal to me, my back, and my wallet!

I had that happen with 1 textbook when I was going through paramedic school. It weighted 25 lbs and was $500. That was one of 15 books. Luckily the others weren't nearly as expensive.
