Today, my boss asked me if I know anything about those tattoos that girl put on their lower backs. "You mean Tramp Stamps?" I responded. He looked at me with hatred in his eyes and said that his 18 year old daughter just got one. FML

well the truth hurts, eh? they're called tramp stamps. what were you supposed to say? I hate it when people don't give you all the information up front. if he'd said "what's with those tattoos the girls get on they're lower back? my daughter just got one and I don't get it. ". you'd not have said tramp stamp.

I would have said the same thing. If the boss didn't want an honest opinion, he should have said, "So my daughter just got a tattoo on her lower back, what do you think of that?" so the guy would know he was at risk of insulting his boss's daughter. Besides, OP, what makes you think it was hatred for you? Maybe he's pissed that his daughter went and got a tramp stamp. I hope you covered and said, "Not everyone who gets one is a tramp. That's just what some people call those tattoos."
