i'm a barista too- they are thinking "this is smart marketing, as much as everyone complains about it, people love holiday shit and they'll buy it." its a marketing strategy... it works, does it not? customers are getting the eggnog & peppermint mochas, right? and when all the new xmas shit comes out tomorrow (that's when it rolls out in NJ anyway), they'll buy that too. sbux is a company trying to make money, just like alllllll the other companies around.

boo-hooooo. Be thankful you are in Oz where the recession did not hit and that you have a job, unlike a lot of people here in the States. So you have to wear antlers for 5 weeks, at least its not Feb and he is making you wear a dick on your head celebrating Gay Mardi Gras! Then it would be FML

We actually did go through a recession, and a lot of people did lose their jobs. We might not have been hit as hard as the rest of the world, but we did go through it, it wasn't all sunshine, lollypops and rainbows, and while it's officially "over" people are still having a hard time, people are still losing jobs, businesses are still going under...We did get hit with it too, just so you know.

Why is that so bad? I love christmas, and when I worked at Macca's it was awesome, cause around mid-November, we'd all start wearing reindeer antlers and Santa hats and play christmas music. It's the best time of year. Get into the spirit and get over it. =]
