Today, my boss told me that as funny as it is, it is inappropriate to mock customers with my "fake" Scottish accent. I don't, he refuses to believe that I speak with a Scottish accent. FML

What makes this FML worse is that I still live and work in Scotland. I brought it up with my boss, turns out he thinks it's "disrespectful" to put on my "fake" accent after the referendum. I really must look for a another job. I don't want to offend anyone but Im one of the few people in the Scottish highlands that don't speak the "queens English".

Tell him that in the UK you have Scotland and Scots speak with a Scottish accent. If he can't get it.. well...He's a braindead.

Too bad both of those accents are fake. Shrek's voice actor is Canadian and the Demo man is Jewish and from New York. The Heavy has the same VA. At least say David Tennant or Craig Ferguson or Billy Connolly or Sean Connery... Actual Scottish actors with bad ass Scottish accents

A fellow highlander?! As someone from the Black Isle I know your struggle, I can speak perfect English but with friends I speak broad Scots, it's just a natural thing. My accent is very strong, my Mam is a Fifer and Father a highlander, so heavy rolling of the r's and suchlike. But seriously, that is bloody rude of your boss!!!!!

Trust me, there is more people who speak Scottish in Scotland, trust me. Half my family are highlanders and proud of it. You boss is just a bloody sassinak.
