My ex used to do that to me, a main reason he is my ex. And apparently the only reason he was with me was for the entertainment and to make himself feel smarter. Some people have a sick sense of humour. :(

i think this is less a moment to be angry at your boyfriend and more an opportunity to laugh at yourself. yes, your pride is hurt. but unless he's publicly embarrassing you in some way - being genuinely cruel about it - i think this is more likely to be a case of him just having some gentle fun at your expense. there's nothing wrong with that - it shows that he understands and loves everything about you, including your flaws.
