Today, my boyfriend and I exchanged promise rings. I promised that I would stay committed to him and that he was the only one for me. He promised that he would stop seeing other woman behind my back. He wasn't kidding. FML

It doesn't necessarily mean that he was cheating on her (although quite likely). At least he had the balls to tell you himself; it's easier to forgive someone that confessed to you than hearing about it later on. You two will have to talk about it, though.
