Today, my boyfriend and I heard my parents going at it upstairs. He said, "sounds like they're having more fun than we did." To make it worse, he crept to their door and put his ear to it, telling me what he heard. FML

You may be an old man, but I don't find you wise at all. I don't believe OP said anything about not appreciating her life, just that it's an FML moment. I understand sex is a part of her parent's life, but they could have waited until their daughter's boyfriend was at least gone. And I don't believe she deserves to be knocked up and left just because she found her boyfriend's reaction odd.
