I hate sexism as much as the next sane person, but, is this necessarily about the patriarch? I mean, how do we know that it's not a woman's intelligence that bothers him, but he just doesn't like to date people who are smarter than him? I mean, he might feel the same way if he was gay, that he wouldn't want to date a smarter man. You're probably right, and I am probably just reading into things too much, but, I just dislike when people claim things are true without absolute proof. Not to say he is better, because, whether he is sexist or not, he is still a douche, unless he is joking, which seems unlikely.
