Today, my boyfriend called me and I told him about the AnimeCon I'm attending, and that I wanted to go as Sailor Mars, he told me he had no idea what that was. After being mad for about ten minutes, I realized that I wanted to break up with him over not knowing what Sailor Moon was. FML

Why would you go as Sailor Mars? Sailor Moon is...just lame, old, and stupid. O-o Why not pick something more mainstream? O-o Kuroshitsuji and Soul Eater are now pretty popular and not as mainstream as some others. But they're still too typical. :/

1. FYL, this FML has cheered me up slightly after losing a few friends off Steam (who I rarely talk with anyhow) due to arguments about Terraria and Minecraft. FML too I guess. 2. To the inevitable weeaboo hurlers: ANIME FANS =/= WEEABOOS. Weeaboos are wannabe Japanese, meaning they walk, talk, and act Japanese. Weeaboos are typically anime fans, however this does NOT mean all anime fans are weeaboos. 3. YDI as well...for obvious reasons. My best friend doesn't know a good few awesome anime, he's still my best friend. Just because he doesn't know K-ON! doesn't mean I'm gonna RAEGGG at him and tell him to **** off... 4. Sailor Moon is too easy and a bit overdone (right there under Naruto and Bleach...at least you aren't one of those pubin' Swimtards). How about Strike Witches? Try it ;)

All of you who criticize OP and/or those who have no idea what Sailor Moon is.. LOOK IT UP!!! Ever since I was 6, I was fond of Sailor Moon. They even aired it on Toonami, Local channels, and even on Kids WB. It was the best Anime Series I had ever watched. I am SHOCKED to see that many users have no idea who or what Sailor Moon is and #357's comment made me really angry beyond words. If I wanted to go to Anime-con, I would love to Cosplay as one of my Favorite Characters. I didn't care what people think if I went out as a Sailor Scout (Sailor Senshi in Japan) to a Cosplay event. Also, to the users who left condescending/offensive comments on OP's anecdote, don't tell OP that she needs to get a life and "get you priorities straight". You are all idiots for voting that she deserved it and not looking up the anime on Wikipedia or any reliable source of info. You fools are probably too busy watching Jersey Shore or other crap you watch nowadays. Op, I don't see a reason for you to break up with your boyfriend. Do what #490 suggested, tell him to watch the Anime series online and he will know what Sailor moon is all about. Otakus don't need to break up with their partners all because they don't know what particular anime is. If I had a boyfriend and he didn't know what [anime series] was, I'd tell him what it is about and get him to watch it and get him addicted (if I can...). My point being is that Sailor Moon is not just for Little girls or children. Sailor moon is enjoyed by EVERYONE. By everyone, I mean ALL AGES. Maybe the users would would take the time to watch the anime and not leave condescending comments in this anecdote, they would understand. I am 21 years old and I still watch Sailor Moon to this day. I'm now on the 4th season of the series.
