Today, my boyfriend called me and I told him about the AnimeCon I'm attending, and that I wanted to go as Sailor Mars, he told me he had no idea what that was. After being mad for about ten minutes, I realized that I wanted to break up with him over not knowing what Sailor Moon was. FML

Today, I told my husband we could have a "him" day, visit the comic book and games stores, then watch anime. He refused to believe I was genuine, and asked what bad thing I did that I was trying to make up for. We ended up not doing any of it because he thinks I can’t be nice to him without a motive. FML

I used to watch that show as a kid it was great. I used to really like it, but once sailor Mars and Mercury showed up it just got too lame for me. I did really like the talking cat though. Calling them sailors also makes no sence, something must have been lost in translation.

I know how you feel, seriously, one of my guy friends doesn't know a thing about anime but he pretends he does.. it REALLY pisses me off. But even so, Sailor Moon?! You can at least think of something better than that. How about Naruto or Bleach or one of those popular shonens? They might interest him more.

If you want to cosplay as something different try Cardcaptor Sakura, though it is still 90's Anime/Manga it isn't an overdone cosplay or totally unknown. Also, just because you like anime doesn't mean you are a fangirl or that you are a nerd.
