Today, my boyfriend called me and I told him about the AnimeCon I'm attending, and that I wanted to go as Sailor Mars, he told me he had no idea what that was. After being mad for about ten minutes, I realized that I wanted to break up with him over not knowing what Sailor Moon was. FML

Today, I told my husband we could have a "him" day, visit the comic book and games stores, then watch anime. He refused to believe I was genuine, and asked what bad thing I did that I was trying to make up for. We ended up not doing any of it because he thinks I can’t be nice to him without a motive. FML

She doesn't have to "make up her mind". She wanted to go as Sailor Mars, a character. Her boyfriend didn't know what Sailor Moon, the WHOLE SHOW, was. Either way she's a tool, but her sentence was correct.

Christ. It's not like he said "Ooh, you like anime, that's so stupid", he just hadn't heard of this specific character. Grow up, your boyfriend doesn't have to be identical to you and know exactly every single thing you know and like it all, too. How would you feel if your boyfriend said "What? You don't know what a Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is?! That's it, we're over!" ... or with whatever it is he's interested in?
