that's bs. i met my boyfriend in high school. we've been together for 2 and a half years and really care about each other. and we know we're going to be together for the rest of our lives. while it may be true for some or even most, it doesn't automatically make it true for everyone. SOME teenagers can be very mature and have maybe even a more mature relationship than some adults!
agreed. and i hope they do!
this guy is ridiculous
lol actually im not. i have 2 friends who are girls cause i hate girls so much, id rather hang out with the boys. i said both the guy and girl were right. i think it mean how everybody is calling this girl a bitch and a ***** for getting upset you know?
It's so nice to see someone else in the same place as me. My boyfriend and I started dating in high school and have been dating two and a half years. Yes, we know we're getting married, but no, it's not some naive or childish dream. We've just been through a lot together. Just because most high school relationships are based on immaturity doesn't mean all are. The op's (hopefully now "ex")bf definitely fits in the category of immature though.
I'm in a similar situation! My fiance proposed to me a few days before graduation. Holding off on the wedding for another year though because we can't afford anything that includes our families and (to me at least) my family means a lot. I have a gigantic one, so it's not going to be cheap, even if we have it in the back yard or something. Food is wicked expensive. :( But all wedding planning stress aside, not all high school couples are destined to fail. My aunt and uncle (now in their 30's) started dating when they were both 12.
ydi for dating him. people like that don't just have flukes, he's obviously trashy

It sounds like he did great, your boyfriend is 5 years old, right?
It doesn't say you dated for long, but he sounds like a really crappy guy. On the other hand, crayons are cute, the thought counts, then again, if he fails to spell your name...oh god
